This project involved refurbishment works to buildings 60 and 67 at RAAF Glenbrook. The works involved high-voltage (HV) electrical system works, removal of redundant plant, replacement of roof sheeting and downpipes, asbestos removal, and fitout works.
Baseline undertook extensive planning in partnership with the client to implement high-risk controls to a number of works. Baseline safety erected specialist scaffolding within the HV substation zone, removed multiple 14T contaminated generators via mobile cranes and undertook roofing replacements using a methodical approach that minimised operational impacts and maintained strict project timeframes.
Whilst onsite, Baseline received stakeholder requests for a number of minor items be changed, removed and/or added to the scope. In good faith, Baseline ensured these items were addressed in a timely manner without passing any additional costs on to the client. These changes included modifications to perimeter windows to minimise maintenance requirements and an upgrade of kitchen facilities to accommodate incoming larger staff numbers occupying the space.
