Detailed refurbishment reviving the grandeur of a significant heritage building.

Baseline’s scope for the Officer’s Mess Refurbishment covered a broad range of tasks. Extensive HAZMAT remediation was carried out, including over 2,000sqm of dry ice blasting to remove mould from timber roof trusses.  External works included a new terracotta roof, copper rainwater goods, waterproofing, drainage, chemical injections and rebuilding of the level 1 balconies to resolve falling damp issues. 

Internally, Baseline fully renovated and modernised 88 short-stay accommodation rooms, 20 amenities blocks, installed a new commercial kitchen and refurbished public spaces throughout the building.

Baseline completed the refurbishment of 20 amenities blocks as a D&C featuring decorative terrazzo flooring and antique tiles.

88 short stay accommodation rooms were upgraded including new spotted gum joinery imported sanitaryware and broadloom carpets.
