Singleton Firing Ranges

Singleton, NSW Defence $4.3m Design & Construct Aurecon
New firing mounds, targets, amenities, and waiting shelters to 6 ranges at Singleton Military Area

This project involved upgrades to two 25m open ranges, two 100m open ranges and two 25m barracks ranges at Singleton Military Area. The upgrade works included re-establishing range setouts to meet Defence standards, new firing mound slabs and canopies, new range signage, markers and targets, new slabs to target banks, ammunition kiosk, waiting shelters, and an amenities block.

Baseline delivered these works under a Design and Construct agreement with Aurecon as the PDS. Throughout the design stage, Baseline worked closely with local stakeholders to resolve design issues and coordinate the construction program with critical Defence operational timings.

To minimise impacts on Defence operations, the works across the 3 ranges were delivered simultaneously with trades following a “waterfall” sequence, moving from one site to the next, followed closely by the subsequent trade.
